Rossi di Sicilia: An Evening of Sicilian Reds
An evening given over to Rossi di Sicilia — the island’s red wines.
Sicilian red covers far more ground than its reputation suggests. Nero d’Avola is the name everyone knows, but the Etna reds are lighter and more nervous, Frappato is pale and perfumed, and the blends in between shift with every few kilometres of altitude.
Lining them up in one sitting is the point of an evening like this: not to rank them, but to hear how different one island can sound.
Wine bar, wine shop, Sicilian soul.
Sunday 17 May, at Via Gibilmanna 16, Cefalù. Alongside the tasting you will find loose Sicilian wines still and sparkling, a bottled selection from Sicily and other Italian regions, bag in box, and our own extra virgin olive oil.
